This is my Sacred Circle Series. Each painting has a Circle as it's core element. The Circle is a universal form that contains the concept of connection, community and cycles through time. It is a prominent element in spiritual traditions such as Celtic, Native American Indian, Tibetan Buddhism.
The original painting is textured with an under-layment of thick acrylic paste that is painted over. The image continues around each edge. Artwork is self-framing with 2-inch gallery wrapped canvas with hanging wire attached. It hangs flat against the wall.

My intention is to draw the viewer into an experience of their own relationship with themselves, the world and understandings of life, love, joy and peace. I'm inspired at the intersection of spirituality, nature and art. My artwork includes rich textures and a delicious color palette of twenty liquid acrylics. I begin by creating texture on the canvas using a thick acrylic paste to build up the surface which I sculpt and sand before adding paint.
