Arts Carrie MaKenna Studio & Gallery is home to the artist and writer Carrie MaKenna. I make artwork to remind people of their interconnection with each other, nature and the universe. My intention is to draw the viewer into an experience of their own relationship with themselves, the world and understandings of life, love, joy and peace. I'm inspired at the intersection of spirituality, nature and art. My artwork includes rich textures and a delicious color palette of twenty liquid acrylics. I begin by creating texture on the canvas using a thick acrylic paste to build up the surface which I sculpt and sand before adding paint.
